The "Dress Watch" had a resin wristband that was very comfortable, but was prone to developing tensile cracks (see review). This wristband appears to be made out of a similar resin, but the latch mechanism is completely different. The clasp type on the "Dress Watch" is like a belt buckle - the combination of this clasp type and wristband material was not the best (the tensile cracks developed in areas that bent the most during latching). However, the clasp type with this watch is a pushbutton deployment clasp (usually found on metal wristbands) - the combination of this clasp type with the resin wristband material should be a much better fit (the band does not bend to the extreme the "Dress Watch" had to bend). Also, this wristband is fully adjustable (whereas links must be removed from metal wristbands in order to adjust).

There are a couple of downsides to this watch:
1) the titanium pieces that connect the watch-face unit to the wristband make it uncomfortable to wear the watch even semi-loose - the titanium pieces dig into my wrist bone if it is too loose, and

2) the deployment clasp has a tendency to grab a few of my wrist hairs while closing (although this can be avoided with some practice).Buy Timex Men's Ironman 75 Lap Titanium Watch #T5J661!

I got this from Chelsea Watch and that was easy. The watch runs well and I ran it under the facet and it seems waterproof so I'm happy. The face is bigger than a lady would wear but definitely smaller than you'd see on a man so it truly is unisex....so it's easy to read. The case isn't as thick as many unisex waterproof watches, which I like.

I love this watch. I bought a previous version of it in a department store about 8 years ago. The original watch is still working, but after 8 years of rugged outdoor use the band is almost worn through, the crystal had been scratched quite a bit, and paint is wearing off of the bezel. When it came time to replace the battery I decided to replace the whole watch instead, and was delighted to learn that it was still being sold. The only differences I notice with the new watch are that the band is a lighter shade of brown and it is MUCH easier to advance the date at the end of a month having fewer than 31 days. The face is easily read in the dark with a press of the dial. As a whole, the watch is very nice and worth every penney of its price. THE COLOR OF THE NUMBERS ON THE AMAZON AD IS MISLEADING, HOWEVER. They appear to be white, but are chrome silver, nearly invisible except at a very narrow viewing angle. On my computer the watch appears blue. It is actually black with a thin, turquoise stripe. I Love the turquoise stripe, but not surprisingly it showed dirt almost immediately.

I really like this watch. I didn't think much of the FLIX feature when I purchased the watch, but after trying it I actually found it pretty handy. Also, the Indiglo color for this watch is turquoise.

I'd recommend this watch.

I love this watch! I did, however, want to immediately return it after taking it out of the box. I neglected to take measurements into account, and this watch is very big and heavy for a small wrist. That being said, I love it. The white is stunning with a touch of gold on the face, and the band is thick white leather. I longed for the days when you could put a watch on that kept reasonable time and did not have to have batteries replaced when it was least convenient to do so. Wearing it right now and this is my second one after the first one got crushed in a freak accident. (luckily I wasn't wearing it at the time!) I liked it so much in the short time I had the old one, I went out to buy a new one and couldn't find it in stores. So I bought it here.

This is a man's watch and fits great on larger men. I'm 6'2" and approx. 250 lbs so the watch fits just fine, keeps good time and is easy to read especially with my nearly 50 year-old eyes. The glass is slightly curved and I think produces a slight magnification of the dial. Very classic and classy.
