Timex Men's Expedition Analog and Digital Combo Watch #T45191

I bought this watch as a replacement for an older Timex that had similar features. I love the features -- both analog and digital, alarm, timer, Indiglo, multiple time zones (it says three but it really is one analog and two digital time zones). Unfortunately the rotating bezel did not work at all -- the numbers are there but it does not rotate at all. This was one of the reasons I bought this model.

When it arrived, I started to set the time, alarm, etc. The buttons were slow to respond and then it started beeping continuously (like a loud alarm) and none of the buttons worked at all. I could not get it to stop making noise and it did so for almost an hour.

Eventually it stopped making noise and seemed to begin working properly again. I had read the other negative review but dismissed it as a one-time defect. Now that it has happened to me and did so right out of the box, I do not recommend this watch.Buy Timex Men's Expedition Analog and Digital Combo Watch #T45191!

Timex Unisex Camper Expedition Classic Analog Watch #T42591

Gave this to my wife for Christmas and she loved it. I don't think she has taken it off since. I was a little worried, that the band not be big enough for her wrist, but it is just right. The date is a little hard to read being small. Good watch for the money. I really don't think it is a unisex watch, not with the pink and it's size, definitely made for a women.

Timex Women's 1440 Sport Digital Watch #T5J971

I love this watch. It has a smaller face than most sports watches yet the display is very easy to read. The directions for setting the time, date and day were very easy to follow. I plan to order more.Buy Timex Women's 1440 Sport Digital Watch #T5J971!

Timex Women's Sports Marathon Watch #T59071

I love the preset timer intervals on this watch, as described by another reviewer (Doglover). As a mom who supervises her kids' homework and chores, I can tell them I will check their progress in 10 minutes and then follow through. An earlier model had a more durable strap (a nylon mesh fabric), and my black plastic one just cracked after 2 1/2 years of constant wear. But I am back for another watch, since I can't find this TIMER feature on others.Buy Timex Women's Sports Marathon Watch #T59071!

Timex Men's Ironman 30-Lap Shock Resistant FLIX System Watch #T5F851

I purchased this watch after my previous Timex Ironman took a few too many lickings. It still works, but the face and buttons, which were constructed of plastic and glued on, eventually wore out, and the strap had already been replaced once. Therefore, I wanted a better built watch that retained the same functionality. After looking several pages of watches on Amazon and elsewhere, this one caught my eye because of its use of metal, shock resistance, the red button (really), and use of actual screws to retain the face plate. I figured the velcro strap affixed to a strong synthetic fabric would be long-lasting.

My impression in the two months that I've used it is an overall positive one, but let me elaborate. The construction is indeed sturdy. The strap, which attaches through a loop on the top-end of the watch wraps back on itself. It has never come loose and is easy to reposition. It is also fairly easy to attached with the other hand. The face is constructed of tough, slightly rubberized plastic that envelops the perimeter of the watch body as seen in the picture. Three sections (top, left, right) also protrude outward to provide protection to the metal, but only by about a millimeter, so it does not get caught on things. The metal portion is quite stylish and has a reflective polish on the inside rim that protects the glass. As it moves outward, it maintains a brushed finish. The entire plastic perimeter and strap appear to be adhered permanently and screwed onto the face. I am not certain, but a replacement strap might include the entire plastic section. That said, it seems unlikely that it would come loose anytime soon. It feels heavy when worn and juts out 0.625" from the wrist. The width is approximately 1.75".

The display is easy to read in both light and dark (with Indiglo). The buttons are take some effort to depress, but you won't hit them accidentally. I won't go into all the functionality, as it is explained in the description, but it does appear to do everything listed. I do appreciate being able to "turn off" features like one or all of the alarms or occasion alarm from the display cycle if I don't need them. I haven't really needed to use the FLIX feature, which allows you to flick your wrist to activate the light, but it also works well.

I have just one negative point: the velcro strap tends to rub against my shirt cuff. This is problematic with sweaters and knit material because it will unravel the ends. If there were some way to create a barrier between the strap and cuff, that didn't look silly (I tried tape) I would consider it. But if not for this, I would give the watch five stars. TX253151, Timex watchband, Ironman* Triathlon, 16mm, black

Although I live the watch, the invariable need to replace the band every year and a half (or less) is a pain. I have a hard time believing Timex Ironman watches could suffer from this same problem for such an extended period of time w/o Timex addressing it. I have found that taking the pins out often damages the soft plastic to the point that the watch will no longer hold the pins, requiring the purchase of a new watch. I'm done w/ this product. Timex Men's Ironman 75 Lap Titanium Watch #T5J671

This Timex Ironman is a lot more professional looking than the "Dress Watch" seen below (I also owned and reviewed the "Dress Watch" watch below):

Timex Men's Ironman 50-Lap Combo Analog Digital Dress Watch #T5E351

The "Dress Watch" had a resin wristband that was very comfortable, but was prone to developing tensile cracks (see review). This wristband appears to be made out of a similar resin, but the latch mechanism is completely different. The clasp type on the "Dress Watch" is like a belt buckle - the combination of this clasp type and wristband material was not the best (the tensile cracks developed in areas that bent the most during latching). However, the clasp type with this watch is a pushbutton deployment clasp (usually found on metal wristbands) - the combination of this clasp type with the resin wristband material should be a much better fit (the band does not bend to the extreme the "Dress Watch" had to bend). Also, this wristband is fully adjustable (whereas links must be removed from metal wristbands in order to adjust).

There are a couple of downsides to this watch:
1) the titanium pieces that connect the watch-face unit to the wristband make it uncomfortable to wear the watch even semi-loose - the titanium pieces dig into my wrist bone if it is too loose, and

2) the deployment clasp has a tendency to grab a few of my wrist hairs while closing (although this can be avoided with some practice).Buy Timex Men's Ironman 75 Lap Titanium Watch #T5J671!

Timex Men's T Series Perpetual Calendar Black Strap Watch #T2M453

Excellent watch. I've owned expensive watches (Cartier), mid-priced ones (Seiko, Casio), and Timex (Easy set alarm Expeditions which I've been wearing for about ten years, ironman for training) and this is right in the sweet spot.

Build quality is Swiss-like. In fact you could easily find something like this in Geneva for 5-10x the price.

Features: Perpetual calender is seriously cool. Although I've kept to the alarm watches for years, changing the calender month to month is a hassle. On balance, having an analog face on a perpetual calender is a truly nice feature. The black face with white Arial numerals is a bit conservative, but this is offset by the watch's slightly larger size. I have a pretty average/narrow wrist and its large the way a modern watch should be, without being bulky. The backlighting feature is vintage timex. The watch came set to EST.

Overall impression: Timex has come of age. They make this 90.00 wristpiece look and feel like the real deal. Are you picky about what you wear on your wrist but can't afford/don't want a watch that costs hundreds of dollars? Buy this model.

Timex Ironman Solar Shock

I said no "real" problems because I do have one issue: when I'm trying to time my weight training exercises, the edge of my glove pushes the STOP button for the chronometer. Other than that, I've been very pleased so far.Buy Timex Ironman Solar Shock!

Timex IRONMAN Triathlon Solar Dual-Tech Watch T5G701

This is a great watch that I wear all of the time. Easy to read, both the analog and digital dials, although the "solar" label on the face makes it hard to check the battery level at times. It's very comfortable and isn't heavy enough to want to move around the wrist too much. One of my only complaints is that it is hard to keep charged, especially when one isn't wearing it 24/7. Other than that, a great purchase and definitely worth the money.Buy Timex IRONMAN Triathlon Solar Dual-Tech Watch T5G701!

Timex Women's Classic Two-Tone Expansion Watch #T2K511

The watch is lovely, but the band is too tight for my wrist (6 3/4"). I will be returning it and will look for an adjustable leather band. Timex has always been a good watch for me and I love the Indiglo feature. Just need a larger one.

Timex Women's Classic Gold-Tone Leather Strap Watch #T16091

This watch has worked well for us, but the band wore out after only 6 months. We were in a very dry climate, and that's probably the main reason for this. Otherwise, it's a good women's watch. It doesn't look bulky, but the larger numbers on the dial make it easy to read, and the Indiglo works well (even though the product description doesn't mention Indiglo).Buy Timex Women's Classic Gold-Tone Leather Strap Watch #T16091!

Timex Men's 30 Lap Ironman Watch #T5E901

Great watch. Not too big and extremely comfortable. From day one I could barely tell that I was wearing it because it is so light. The shaped wristband helps too.
I've worn this everyday for about two years now. The buttons work well and numbers are large and clear. However, the face of my watch became somewhat cloudy after a camping trip. I'm not sure if it is due to bugspray with high DEET concentration, or if the watch just got too close to the hot fire. Buy Timex Men's 30 Lap Ironman Watch #T5E901!

Timex Men's Expedition Digital Compass Watch #T77862

I read a lot of positive reviews before purchasing the watch. I think I got one of the few lemons with most of the watches working properly. Initially, all of the functions of the watch worked really well. However, after a few weeks just pushing a button would cause the watch to sometimes reset. I took it to the Grand Canyon on a volunteer trip, and it really got bad. The compass function would not work at all. The alarm function was fair. The clock function was OK. I assume that the nearly 20 degree night temperature may have been too much for the watch. All of the functions are working perfectly now that I am back home. I still like the watch like an old friend with faults, but I would not trust my life with it. A friend mentioned that maybe the battery is weak. Timex Men's Camper Expedition Classic Analog Watch #T42571

All I wanted was a plain ol watch, nothing fancy, nothing complicated (believe me, I have a few of those). This is just what the doctor ordered. Plain and simple. Minute hand, hour hand, and second hand. But wait, what's this? Indiglo? Cool, push the stem and the watch lights up. Neat. Ah, it hacks too. Ok so two frills, haha. If it didn't have these frills I'd be happy too. Lightweight and keeps good time. Looks good. Long battery life. Can't complain at all. Timex Men's Outdoor Performance Chrono Alarm Timer Expedition Watch #T47512

This watch is fantastic. It has lots of options for time and date, the alarm is loud enough, and it is well lit. But best of all is the compass (which is the reason I bought it instead of another). Yes, you have to read the manual and set the declination depending on what part of the world you are in. But once that is done, the compass works very well for "urban crawling" as they put it and turned out to be highly accurate for my needs. I only had to reset it once during a recent two week trip, and that was due to being near a strong magnetic field. Definitely a great purchase!Buy Timex Men's Outdoor Performance Chrono Alarm Timer Expedition Watch #T47512!

I am so glad to see this watch available on Amazon! I've owned them before, but I'm rough on them! Nothing else feels right on my wrist except this watch! Timex Men's Expedition Classic Digital Chrono Alarm TimerWatch #T41091

This watch is everything I expected and more. The functions are more than adequate. The visibility is xlnt since I don't wear glasses when I walk/jog....and I can still see the CHRONO values easily. The velcro strap provides for very quick ON and OFF and unlike a band with holes...this band can be "fine tuned" for maximum comfort....so it doesn't jiggle or feel too tight. The watch is very lightweight and comfortable.
The 4 function buttons are very well designed....low profile and rounded on the edges.....so "snags" are never a problem. The functions are so well designed and intuitive that I didn't even need to read the manual. Aesthetics are very nice also.
I love this watch and if I ever lost it and had to replace it for double the Amazon price....I'd do it in a heartbeat. Five stars for Timex. Five stars for Amazon.Buy Timex Men's Expedition Classic Digital Chrono Alarm TimerWatch #T41091!
