While this watch is great what I'll assume was its intended purpose (worn while exercising: running, walking, bike riding, etc.) I must admit I use it more often when riding my motorcycle.

I've got a helmet kit that allows me to plug in my iPod and play music through some speakers, and up until now I've had to just deal with the random shuffle that I get. Timex 20501 Easy Reader Watch

This is my second easy reader, so I'm a huge fan of the watch. (My first died through no fault of its own). A potential down side for some may be that it is a little bulky, but I've never fancied slim watches.

I did replace the leather band with a silicone version, but otherwise this is a keeper. It maintains time well, and looks good with all styles of clothing - from gym gear to formal wear. It's inexpensive and obviously, easy to read!

I am a swimmer, and I wanted a watch that would give accurate water temperatures as well as tell me the time and date. This watch does all of that. I tested it against a calibrated lab thermometer and it was right on. It gives accurate water temp readings within a few minutes. Air temp readings are another mater, you have to take it off your wrist, put it in the shade, and wait 5 to 10 minutes for a accurate reading, but then it is right on. The tide function is worthless. I've been to lots of coastal locations all over the world, and I've never seen anyplace where the tides conform to a set time interval, which is the the way the tide function works on this watch, but anyone who needs to know about tides already knows that. I have a several Timex watches- they're not expensive and very reliable. This one was a gift and probably thats the reason why I had to keep it.
It looks really cool on photograph, but first touch will give you unexpected feelings. That "cool looking" strap is made from hardest material you would expect. There is no problem to add little bit of softeners to that composite and make it more friendly for our wrists - what do you think, Timex's engineers?!
Other than that this is very regular watch with easy interface and nice design.
After 2 months of everyday usage strap got "dirty" look. It absorbs colors or basically dirt from your clothes, gloves, anything.

I have owned this watch for over three months. So far, it's proven to be an exceptional value for the money.

I am very rough on watches; I tend to smash them against hard surfaces, wash them unexpectedly in the laundry, step on them mistakenly and the like.

This watch hasn't suffered a bit from my abuse. The dial window does not scratch or gouge easily; the few times I have managed to mar it, a little rubbing cleared up the mark. The couple of trips in the washing machine has not managed to stop the movement. And stepping on it only hurts my foot.

The Indiglo face is exceptionally bright. The wristband's unique design -- you poke the latch through the nylon band material -- makes fitting my jumbo-sized wrist a snap.

My skin is also sensitive to many metals, and while the stainless steel back of this watch will occasionally cause some minor irritation, it's caused far fewer itching and swelling episodes than the LL Bean Field Watch it is replacing (and which cost four times as much).
