Timex Unisex Ironman Shock Resistant 30 Lap Flix Watch #T5H031

My c. 1997 Time Ironman Triathlon Datalink watch (78401) was recently smashed by standing between my wrist and a falling 40 lb. weight, cracking the frame and its face.

Having never, ever used the Datalink feature, I figured T5H301 model would be a suitable replacement. Overall, functionally, it appears to be; however, I much preferred the fit, display and interface of the 78401. Regarding fit, the band of the 78401 had a large range of swing, enabling it to fit the wrist both snugly and comfortably. On the T5H301, the band has little to no range at the hinge, leaving it sit off my wrist more than is desirable and making the overall feel a bit bulky. Regarding the display and interface, the T5H301 reduces the number of buttons by one, overloading the "increment/increase" onto the Start/Split button. This may simply require getting used to; however, it seems less intuitive. In addition, I find the arrangement of the display tougher to read at a glance with its "crammed into a circle" look than on the 78401 with its "organized into a rectangle" look. Again, this may just take some getting used to.

In short, this seems to be an able and attractive replacement for the 78401; however, if you've been using another Ironman for the last 12 years as I have, the new Timex models like the T5H301 may take some getting used to.Buy Timex Unisex Ironman Shock Resistant 30 Lap Flix Watch #T5H031!

Timex Men's Classic Dress Brown Leather Strap Watch #T2K651

The product description states that the case thickness is 4mm. It's more like 14... Otherwise, I'm sure it's a fine watch, but the misinformation deems a 2-star review. Buy Timex Men's Classic Dress Brown Leather Strap Watch #T2K651!

Timex Women's Classic Swarovski Crystal Accented Watch #T23191

The second hand should be a different color than the minute and hour hands. When you look at the watch, the short part of the second hand and the hour hand are virtually indistinguishable. It takes too long to tell the time. The Indiglo is very nice for telling the time without having to get out of bed at night. It also requires a special tool to remove links to size the watch band, so if you buy it online, you'll have to find a store that sells Timex and will remove a link for you.Buy Timex Women's Classic Swarovski Crystal Accented Watch #T23191!

Timex Women's Ironman Sleek 50-lap Watch #T5K005

I've had the Timex Ironman series watch for years. I love the stopwatch, countdown and alarms. It's very useful, especially for travelling.

I ignored the warnings about the band, and it's ok but not great.

- the corners come off occasionally and have to be put back on
- It can't easily be replaced
- A friend lost the middle part of the watch surfing and was left with just the bandBuy Timex Women's Ironman Sleek 50-lap Watch #T5K005!

Timex Men's Premium Collection Perpetual Calendar Watch #T2B941

For the $38 -20% price you get a lot of watch. That's the good news. The bad news is that it is a lot of watch: it's too big. The watch is 1.5 inches wide and .5 in thick, and I'm aware of it when I swing my arm. Another gripe: the crystal sticks way out so I know it's going to get all scratched up. The leather band, though comfortable, is big for a small wrist; I'll probably buy an adjustable metal band later on.
Overall I like it because it's cheap and has lots of features. The perpetual date is a winner, as is the indiglo light (although the day/date window is confusing. You get a seven-year battery and a free mail-in battery replacement (with $7 handling chg).
A lot of watch. I'll see if I can wear the watch or if the watch will wear me.Buy Timex Men's Premium Collection Perpetual Calendar Watch #T2B941!

Excellent watch. Can change day independent of date so no more tedious forward and back winding. Great leather strap better than 4 times more expensive watches I have. Day and date large enough to read without microscope.Buy Timex Men's Classic Silver-Tone Leather Dress Watch #T2M489!

Timex Men's Classic Two-Tone Bracelet Watch #T32747

No need for me to look at a calendar anymore. (Well, I'll gladly look at a Playmate calendar, but let's not go there.) If I need to discern the day or date, all I need do is take a peak at my wrist, which sports the handsome (yet comfortably casual) TIMEX MEN'S CLASSIC TWO-TONE BRACELET WATCH. There's a day/date display at 3:00 o'clock on the face of this nifty timepiece; but there's so much more.

With a 10-year battery, this stainless steel watch just runs (and runs). And I'm told it's water resistant to a depth of 100 feet--although I hope I never have to find out. Yet what I love the most about this Timex is its patented 'Indiglo' feature; just press the stem (or knob), and the face lights up. Should I wake up in the dark, all I need do is press my watch to check the time. It's 3:13 a.m.? Okay. I'm rolling over and going back to sleep, thank you very much.

The best compliment you can give a timepiece is taking one for granted; that's reliability you don't even have to think about. And when it comes to reliability--coupled with delightful affordability--you can't go wrong putting the TIMEX MEN'S CLASSIC TWO-TON BRACELET WATCH on your wrist. Two tons? Oops, two-tone. Had me worried for a minute.

Timex Men's Expedition Adventure Tech Performance Digital Compass Watch #T41261

I read a lot of positive reviews before purchasing the watch. I think I got one of the few lemons with most of the watches working properly. Initially, all of the functions of the watch worked really well. However, after a few weeks just pushing a button would cause the watch to sometimes reset. I took it to the Grand Canyon on a volunteer trip, and it really got bad. The compass function would not work at all. The alarm function was fair. The clock function was OK. I assume that the nearly 20 degree night temperature may have been too much for the watch. All of the functions are working perfectly now that I am back home. I still like the watch like an old friend with faults, but I would not trust my life with it. A friend mentioned that maybe the battery is weak. Timex Men's Ironman 30-Lap Shock Resistant FLIX System Watch #T5F821

I purchased this watch after my previous Timex Ironman took a few too many lickings. It still works, but the face and buttons, which were constructed of plastic and glued on, eventually wore out, and the strap had already been replaced once. Therefore, I wanted a better built watch that retained the same functionality. After looking several pages of watches on Amazon and elsewhere, this one caught my eye because of its use of metal, shock resistance, the red button (really), and use of actual screws to retain the face plate. I figured the velcro strap affixed to a strong synthetic fabric would be long-lasting.

My impression in the two months that I've used it is an overall positive one, but let me elaborate. The construction is indeed sturdy. The strap, which attaches through a loop on the top-end of the watch wraps back on itself. It has never come loose and is easy to reposition. It is also fairly easy to attached with the other hand. The face is constructed of tough, slightly rubberized plastic that envelops the perimeter of the watch body as seen in the picture. Three sections (top, left, right) also protrude outward to provide protection to the metal, but only by about a millimeter, so it does not get caught on things. The metal portion is quite stylish and has a reflective polish on the inside rim that protects the glass. As it moves outward, it maintains a brushed finish. The entire plastic perimeter and strap appear to be adhered permanently and screwed onto the face. I am not certain, but a replacement strap might include the entire plastic section. That said, it seems unlikely that it would come loose anytime soon. It feels heavy when worn and juts out 0.625" from the wrist. The width is approximately 1.75".

The display is easy to read in both light and dark (with Indiglo). The buttons are take some effort to depress, but you won't hit them accidentally. I won't go into all the functionality, as it is explained in the description, but it does appear to do everything listed. I do appreciate being able to "turn off" features like one or all of the alarms or occasion alarm from the display cycle if I don't need them. I haven't really needed to use the FLIX feature, which allows you to flick your wrist to activate the light, but it also works well.

I have just one negative point: the velcro strap tends to rub against my shirt cuff. This is problematic with sweaters and knit material because it will unravel the ends. If there were some way to create a barrier between the strap and cuff, that didn't look silly (I tried tape) I would consider it. But if not for this, I would give the watch five stars. Timex Men's 30 Lap Ironman Watch #T5F251

Great watch. Not too big and extremely comfortable. From day one I could barely tell that I was wearing it because it is so light. The shaped wristband helps too.
I've worn this everyday for about two years now. The buttons work well and numbers are large and clear. However, the face of my watch became somewhat cloudy after a camping trip. I'm not sure if it is due to bugspray with high DEET concentration, or if the watch just got too close to the hot fire. Buy Timex Men's 30 Lap Ironman Watch #T5F251!

Timex Men's Ironman 100 Lap Flix Watch #T5F591

Finally I get the clock after a long wait, with the same despite having just two weeks in, I must say that what they say matches with other users of the product, the strap looks a little fragile in the short break term, I do not understand that Timex misses this detail, another downside is the Light electroluminiscense, this does not illuminate with modelosbde much intensity as the other brands (it is very weak when there is moderate light). Otherwise, so far it seems all right, so I give you a 4.

Timex Unisex 1440 Sports Watch #T5K082

This is good looking watch for men. Especially considering the value and full menu of options. However, notice the days of week are very tiny and notice that the month is not shown on the home screen without a button push. And the huge chrono dislay numbers are great. Big enough to hang on the pool deck and still see even with goggles. But then the bad news. Poof! After 30 minutes of exercise, the seconds become very tiny and tenths do not show. The only number big enough to read while running after a half hour is the minutes.Buy Timex Unisex 1440 Sports Watch #T5K082!

Timex IRONMAN Triathlon 42-Lap Dress Watch T56381

I've had this watch for about a month now and had no real complaints. It was bought as a replacement for my Casio because though functional the older watch was easily prone to nasty scratches that were becoming an eye-sore. This is not the case with this Timex. I keep it on at all times and even my playful dogs had yet to make so much of the slightest of marks on the thing. It holds up to abuse quite well and then some. My only gripe (not really a complaint) is that it wasn't offered with a metal band. The resin band it comes with is actually nicer than I expected, but this watch's clone with the gray face and black numbers does come with a metal band that should fit it, but doesn't, (I know because I ordered one as a "replacement band" from Timex and was irked to discover that the pin holes do not align). Aside from that, this is a very good watch with all the features that you'd expect, is easy to read, and acceptably accurate, (mine only looses about 4 seconds a week).Buy Timex IRONMAN Triathlon 42-Lap Dress Watch T56381!

Timex Women's Classic Cavatina Expansion Watch #T21902

Timex 54571 25th Anniversary 30 Lap Ironman Triathlon Sports Watch

Reviewing Timex 54571:

This is my second Timex Ironman. It has a nice feature set for the recreational/fitness runner: light, compact, and the top button for starting/splits is very convenient. The plastic strap is much better than the nylon/velcro strap on my previous watch, which had to be washed regularly because it absorbed perspiration.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this version of the Ironman for runners because of the display, which has light gray numerals on a black background. It looks cool, but is very hard to read in dim light. Even in bright outdoor light, it takes a second longer to read than my old watch, and it gets annoying really fast.

Also, this version doesn't have some of the features of the newer models, like event alarms, and repeating timers.

Timex Men's Ironman Sleek 50-lap Watch #T5H371

After a few swims in a pool and two months of use, my watch is no longer working. Yes, it is a nice looking watch but I would not recommend purchasing this watch if it is going to be exposed to water use. I was also concerned about the durability of the straps.Buy Timex Men's Ironman Sleek 50-lap Watch #T5H371!
